August | Human Design Transits

First! A preamble... 

I wanted to start offering a look at some Human Design transits for the month ahead. Just as with Astrology, there are constant transits happening in Human Design; so I will be using my discretion and highlighting the ones that resonate for me to discuss in detail.

As with all transits, the energy we're entering into is bathed over the entire collective (whether we have a particular Gate defined in our personal chart or not). If you *do* have this gate in a prominent placement, it may show up in that area of your life. For example, if you have a Gate that is transiting for the collective in your Jupiter placement it might be showing up in areas in your life around abundance (both shadows and gifts).

In Human Design/Gene Keys our greatest gifts are found through witnessing, understanding and integrating the shadow parts of ourselves. So, for each transit highlighted, I'll be letting you know some gift and some shadow aspects we might see personally and in the collective. Hope you enjoy!

Gate 7

The Gate of Leadership/Integrity

begins Tuesday, August 6

Gift: This Gate (which is in my husband's Conscious Sun placement) is all about leadership and integrity. However, it's more of a "guides from behind" or "shepherding" type of leadership vs. a forceful demanding type of leadership in its gift state.

Shadow: The shadow aspect of this Gate is the energy for being on a power trip

and insisting others bend to your will. It wouldn't surprise me if there were some shadow aspects of leaders in our collective coming up over the next few weeks.

It's also important in this transit that we look at places where we might find ourselves "exerting our will" or forcing a situation versus calmly making decisions from a place of integrity (aka listening to our soul over our mind).

The Channel of Mutation

Pluto Retrograde, Chiron... Oh my! Beginning August 20th

On August 20, Pluto --still retrograde-- leaves Gate 41 (Imagination) to temporarily re-enter Gate 60 (Limitation) thus activating, together with Chiron the Channel of Mutation 3/60. 

The Channel of Mutation is a bit of a unique channel in Human Design and at its core is about balancing experimentation

and tradition, progress and stability. With this channel so snuggly with Pluto and Chiron, I would expect themes around what we might be holding onto for the sake of stability and might find ourselves nudged towards stretching ourselves out of our comfort zone (for the benefit of our personal expansion).

Gate 59

The Gate of Unity/Intimacy Beginning August 23rd

Gift: Has the energy for being honest and vulnerable. Gate 59 has an innate understanding that being vulnerable is the secret sauce to intimacy. AND! And, it breaks down the barriers to intimacy with vulnerability.

Shadow: Has the energy for avoiding vulnerability with dishonesty. When it is overly guarded it can have relationship patterns where power struggles, codependency, or poor communication are the norm.

This energy is always an invitation to lean into connection over guardedness. Our deepest need as human beings is to feel belonging. The Gate 59 transit is an invitation to reduce separation in our lives in order to make a greater amount of space for connection with others.
