The Times They Are A'Changin'
First of all, hi. I've missed you terribly.
Second, I'm so excited to be back for season FOUR of the podcast (omg) and the soon-to-be fourth birthday of this little labor of love.

As I sat down to write this first newsletter of the fall 2026 season, I knew I wanted to talk about the energetics we are all feeling around us. Just as I picked up my pen to make some notes for recording, the Bob Dylan song "The Times They Are A-Changin'"started playing in my head.
After pulling up the lyrics I realized it was the perfect anthem for not only what I have been feeling personally, but also what the Human Design energetics have been telling us for the last few years.
Which is to say, things are shifting in a way that cannot be slowed and cannot be stopped and the old ways (a.k.a. misogynistic, homophobic, patriarchal) of being no longer have the same power they once did (and that particular form of "power" will continue to be less and less potent.)
As I leaned into what this energy shift is asking from us, I came up with the following four things (for full details and insights, listen to this week's podcast episode):
#1) Look at systems (both personally and collectively) with neutrality/curiosity
It might take a bit to look at something neutrally, but curiosity is always available to us. This is a starting point to reveal the parts of us (and humanity as a whole) that are asking to be revealed and then healed.
#2) Clearing out old patterns/energies
For this –especially as we get started– I think it's really important to have a guide along the way. This could be a therapist, an intuitive, an energy worker, an astrologer, a somatic practitioner, a breath work facilitator - what's most important is that your chosen guide(s) resonate with you. I say more on this topic in #3, but here are a few guides that have helped me enormously in my journey: Carolyn Rose (no relation), Natasha Levinger, and Katie Benway (to name just a few!).
#3) Discernment
I know that discernment isn't the sexiest of ideas, but it's arguably the most important tool in our spiritual bag-o-tricks. I did a podcast episode on the idea of discernment back in January and it provides some ideas on how to feel into your own body/system for what a "yes" or a "no" might feel like within ourselves.
The thing about discernment is that it is a wildly powerful tool. Because, once you understand what "yes" and "no" feel like within yourself, you become ungovernable to the forces that might try to manipulate you (in your personal life as well as within systems).
#4) What are we going to do with the space you've just created?
Okay, here is a major tenant of energy work: when something is cleared out, you want to be sure to fill up that space with some of the good stuff (love, light, confidence, ease, joy, etc.). Because here is the thing...nature abhors a vacuum. So that space you just cleared is going to be filled up with something...it should just be up to you who decided what that is.
In a practical way, take the example of eliminating doomscrolling before bed. That is --by all means-- a very healthy practice to undertake. However, unless you choose to fill that space with something else. It is easy to slip back into the old habit. Whether you choose reading, taking a goddess bath, watching trashy medicinal TV, or whatever, when you load that void up with something that fills your cup, you are much more likely to keep that space clear from unhealthy energy, activity, and relationships.
