Are you a Dragon girl?

Have you felt the drum in your heart? The subtle -yet powerful- beat that calls you to working with the ancient beings known as Dragons?

The beautiful dragon image shown here is a work-in-progress painting titled "Dragon Medicine" by intuitive artist Anita Pandit (@nitarina on IG), who is developing her own relationship to this powerful spirit. The image is used here with full permission of the artist.

The call of the Dragon is not a new one. There are (literally) examples from all over the world of Dragons, Dragon Artwork and Dragon lore. From China, Japan and the Philippines to Nordic and Celtic traditions to ancient Egypt, Persia and Mesopotamia there are examples of Dragons all over the globe.

This overwhelming and -almost- universal history tells us there is some innate, deep part of ourselves that recognizes Dragon energy.

In the same way a horse girl (or horse boy, or horse person) innately understands her connection to the equine, Dragon people feel the call of the Dragon from a deep part within themselves.

**ALSO! If you want to dive in even deeper (I'm looking at you 1-lines) you can listen to my two mentors talk about their experiences with Dragon energy:

Working with Dragon energy has been so regulating, so deep, and so powerful. I really do get the sense from the Dragons that in this time of great shifts and a radical increasing of consciousness, we as humans are able to work with these magnificent beings in a way that has not been possible for many centuries.

In preparation for this week's episode, the Dragons themselves gave me an exercise to pass along to begin to practice connecting with their energy.

#1) Go outside (if you can)

If not, find a quiet place in your home where you can focus your attention

#2) Set the intention

Ask your guides to help you connect with loving Earth Dragon energy, and to protect the container with loving gold light. This is also when you can close your aura around yourself with intention or picturing a golden bubble around your energy field.

#3) Connect with the Light Grid

The light grid is really what it sounds like. It is a grid of light that both surrounds the Earth and is of the Earth.

Focus your energy on your Earth Star Chakra (a Chakra that is about 12-18 inches below the souls of your feet) and connect into the Light Grid from that point.

You may "see" a light grid light up in your mind's eye, feel a pulsing energy run up and down your legs, feel a buzzing sensation throughout your body, or something else entirely.

#4) Ask to connect with an Earth Dragon who you can work with

Please :)

#5) See what comes through

This truly is an exercise in the language of your intuition. You may get a color, or a mental image of what the dragon looks like (clairvoyance). You may feel the Dragon scales under your palms (clairsentience). You may hear its wings beat (clairaudience) or smell Earth or smoke or water (clairolfactance).

Remember in this exercise that first thought is the best thought. Trust what comes through --before you have a chance to talk yourself out of it.

The Dragons let me know that this first may be fleeting (or maybe not at all at first), but the more you return to this place the more your energy will attune to that of the Dragons and the easier it will be to work together.

#6) Disconnect and give thanks

When you are ready, you can thank your Dragon and say goodbye. You can then thank the Light Grid and disconnect your Earth Star Chakra. <3
