Human Design Transits*October*

Here are my monthly updates on the Human Design/Gene Key transits that really *popped* for me looking at the month ahead.

October itself is full of movement — six Sun and Earth transits in one month. Most of them are moving through the Spleen, which means our intuition, instincts, and those sneaky little fears are getting stirred up.   

As with all transits, the energy we're entering into is bathed over the entire collective (whether we have a particular Gate defined in our personal chart or not).

If you *do* have this gate in a prominent placement, it may show up in that area of your life. For example, if you have a Gate that is transiting for the collective in your Earth placement it might be showing up in areas in your life around grounding (both shadows and gifts).

Gate 57

The Intuitive Gate

begins Wednesday, October 8th

Gift: The gift of this Gate is trusting your inner knowing above all else. It is the type of gift that has this uncanny knowing about the world around them.

Shadow: In the world of Human Design (and Gene Keys) we're taught that our greatest gifts come out of observing, then learning and ultimately loving our shadows. With this in mind, the shadow of Gate 57 has the energy for not trusting your intuition and/or writing off your intuitive knowing because there is nothing logical to back it up. This lack of self-trust can obviously lead us is to a place of trusting someone else's opinion over our own.

Thoughts: With this Gate transiting there is the ability for deep inner knowing to come online over the next week. Notice where you feel a deep sense of understanding or insight about your world or the people in it. AND notice if you're a little dismissive that voice. Is it too illogical? Is it not backed by enough concrete evidence? OR, or maybe, is your own inner compass enough of a justification to trust the information you're getting. Maybe see where those clues lead you, baby.

Gate 50

Gate of Values

Begins October 21

Gift: At its core, this gate is associated with the "mother" archetype. Gate 50 is about fostering nourishment (physically and spiritually) within the community it touches.

In other words, it's really good at holding the resonance for the highest frequency of her tribe.

Shadow: The shadow state of Gate 50 (no surprise, given the connection to the mother archetype) is overextending herself and not maintaining healthy boundaries.  Some indicators you might be flirting with the shadow aspect of Gate 50 in the last weeks of October are feelings of burnout and overwhelm.

Thoughts: I'm curious to see how this plays out on the collective stage this month. This gate is all about community and service to *all* its members and I would not be surprised if this theme shows up (more) in the news. Organizations/government/systems that are not serving every member of their communities (especially the most disenfranchised members) may be called out for falling short in October.

On the personal level, listen to your body's cues around burnout and overwhelm and remember that this is a signal to slow down, take a step back and remember that maintaining a balance between caring for others and caring for oneself is a critical aspect of managing the energy of Gate 50.
