Dream Building 2026

There's a lot of debate in the spiritual community on exactly when the New Year begins. Is it when the calendar flips on the first? Is it the Chinese New Year in February? Is it with the arrival of Aries season in March? Or is in a pagan holiday like Imbolc or Ostara?

I really think it can be any of those and/or ALL of those (has there ever been a more Libra-coded answer?)

But truly, we have many, many places where we begin anew within a calendar year. And any place where a shift towards the next version of ourselves resonates is worthy of celebration or ritual.

Human Design/Gene Keys also celebrates its own New Year with the transit of the 41st Gate (the Patient Dreamer). Gate (or key) 41 is known as the “start codon,” which, according to Gene Keys, initiates the sequencing of our literal genes.

All that to say, the energy of Gate 41 is powerful when it comes to new beginnings. That's why I wanted to offer a ceremony-ritual-celebration to hone in on the energetics of the Human Design New Year.

The energetics of the 41st gate is around seeing our dreams (and fantasies!) as valid sources of information and utilizing that energy as jump off point for our next version of self.

What we'll be up to:

This virtual celebration will be about an hour and have two parts:

The first part will be a talk on the 41st Gate and the shadows and gifts it brings during this transit (whether we have it defined in our chart or not).

The second part of the ceremony will be a Reiki-infused guided meditation where we explore and harness our dreams for 2026
